A Brief History
The Martock Waste Paper Co is an independent
family run business established in 1976 by George and Nina Bowers.
Following their retirement, control of the Company passed to their
sons, Richard and Nick. In November 2000 the Company was incorporated,
with Richard and Nick remaining exclusive directors with Sharon, George
& Nina's daughter-in-law, as Company Secretary. Thus the family run
nature of the business has remained.
In January 2000, new
premises were acquired to consolidate continuing expansion and
facilitate greater efficiency in its waste handling operations. The
Company now occupies the position of being one of the South West's
leading waste paper processors.

Company Policy
Modern industry now accepts that it cannot
conduct its activities oblivious to their environmental impact. The
challenge which faces today's and future generations is to create an
efficient industry that also provides a healthy environment. The
recycling industry occupies a central position in any policy designed
to achieve that end.
The Martock Waste Paper Co, as part of that
industry, readily accepts this challenge . We see our role as providing
economically viable solutions to the problems of waste management.
Solutions, moreover, that maintain industry's competitive efficiency,
whilst providing society with a healthy, sustainable living environment.
